It caught my eye at the public library, and when I read the back, I was skeptical of the contents - I thought for sure it would be yet another generic, melodramatic tearjearker, written for maximum effect on the reader. I typically skip these. But as I was flipping thru it to get a sense of the story, I became so enthralled that I actually sat on the floor in the aisle and read the entire book before I left. I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt & now I want him to choose all my books from now on. LOL This book was so mysterious. I read it in a few hours because I just couldn't put it down. I guessed early on about Phoebe, but I just couldn't read fast enough. My stomach was in knots and I held my breath through most of the book trying to put the pieces together. Great book.
